The winners of the Brookfield Public Library’s annual bookmark contest were announced this week. One design from each grade level of entries (5/K - 6^th grade) was chosen to be reproduced and distributed at the Children’s Reference Desk. They are free to the public as long as they last. There were 124 entries from local schools and homeschools. Honorable Mention was awarded to 12 other outstanding designs. All entries will be on display in the Children’s Department.

Winners are:  K-5 Jack Czukas, 1^st  grade April Smith, 2^nd grade Lizzie Mauermann, 3^rd grade Zane Rothe, 4^th grade Camille Valadez, 5^th grade Mia Wedel, and 6^th grade Amy Cao.    

Honorable Mentions are: 1^st grade Charlie Barker and         Genevieve Baynes, 2^nd grade Reilly (RJ) Tom, 3^rd grade Claire Peplinski, Cynthia Lu, Autumn Lee and Julia Cao, 5^th grade Taylor Price and Ivy Smith, 6^th grade Kayla Conaway, Abby Chu and Amber Rothe.
