Are Brookfield Businesses Prepared for the New Health Care Reforms?
Chamber of Commerce hopes to lay out the details for business owners to help them manage their bottom line.
"All businesses are affected in some way, and I don't think the majority of owners know what the changes to health care will mean," said Carol White, president of the Greater Brookfield Chamber of Commerce.
White said it was this concern to educate members as well as anyone interested that led her to organize a program based on the new guidelines of the Affordable Care Act, also dubbed 'Obamacare.'
The program will be held Tuesday, Feb. 19 from 7:30 - 9 a.m. at Ottawa University, 245 S. Executive Drive, Suite 110 and will cover the employee benefit side as well as tax implications.
Presenters will include Liz Kaiser, a financial consultant with Winter, Kloman, Moter & Repp, S.C., and Robert Suycott of Tailor Made Benefit Solutions, an employee benefits consulting and brokerage firm.
The program is part of the Brookfield Chamber's Business Education Series and is sponsored by Ottawa University.
Advance registration with payment is required by Friday, Feb. 15, and is $10 for members and $25 for non-members. To register, you can call the Chamber office at 262-786-1886 or email email@example.com.
