Armed Robber Threatens to Kill Gas Station Clerk
Attendant hands over cash as fast as he can as masked robber demands speed and assures him he'll shoot.
An attendant at a Town of Brookfield gas station trembled for his life even as he handed over cash to a gun-wielding robber, fearing that he couldn't comply fast enough.
At 8:20 p.m. Tuesday, a man entered Brian’s Gas and Go at 19075 Blue Mound Rd. wearing a ski mask. He pulled a black handgun on a clerk, demanding money.
He told the clerk he had 20 seconds to hand over the money or he would shoot – then added, “I’m not kidding, I will shoot you.”
He took the money and left, going around the back of the station toward the Chuck E Cheese restaurant at 19125 Blue Mound.
City of Brookfield police officers assisted in the investigation and trailed the robber to the tracks of a getaway car – either left there by the perpetrator or with a waiting accomplice – on the east side of Louise’s Restaurant, 275 Regency Ct.
Officers found a ski mask and a glove believed used in the robbery in a dumpster at the Chuck E Cheese restaurant. There were no other witnesses besides the victim.
