Book Bargains: Sunday is Final Day of Friends of Library Sale
Annual event, which runs Saturday and Sunday, features all sorts of books, plus CDs, DVDs and more.
If you want to add to your book collection without busting the bank, you've got one last chance this weekend at the Friends of the Brookfield Public Library's annual book sale.
The sale, which started last weekend, will take place until 2 p.m. on Saturday, and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday at the the city's Senior Center, on the east end of City Hall at 2000 N. Calhoun Rd.
Some larger "coffee table" books will run a little more expensive but for the most part, the slew of children's and adults hardcover and paperback books, VHS tapes, DVDs, CDs and audio books cost a couple quarters to a couple bucks.
Proceeds from the book sale help fund library programming and facilities. The Friends of the Brookfield Public Library has donated more than $80,000 to the Brookfield library, most recently helping add new furniture and new paint in the lobby atrium, periodicals and children's areas.
