UPDATE: Braun/Rodgers' 8-twelve to Raise Funds for Azana

The state MVPs are planning a fund raiser dinner at their Brookfield restaurant.

Saying they wanted to help out a fellow Brookfield business enduring a senseless tragedy, 8-twelve's MVPs are planning a fundraiser for Azana Salon & Spa.

The details should be released Monday, but the restaurant owned by the Brewers' Ryan Braun and Packers Aaron Rodgers plans to donate all proceeds of a dinner and silent auction to the salon, Megan Boucher, media coordinator for SURG Restaurants, told Patch.

Update: Attendees will pay a per-person charge which will cover their food (via food stations) and drink, with 100 percent of that charge and all silent auction proceeds going to the Azana shooting victims' families, Boucher said. The date and more details on how to attend will be released, possibly on Monday.

The estranged husband of an Azana hairsatylist entered the salon when it opened Sunday morning and killed his wife and two coworkers, wounding three more coworkers and a client before committing suicide.

8-twelve operator Omar Shaikh said on Twitter than Charles Woodson's wine would be part of the event.

Several players will provide items for a silent auction, Shaikh said. Anyone interested in donating items for the silent auction for 8-twelve MVP Bar & Grill, 17800 W. Bluemound Rd., are encouraged to email Megan@su-rg.com.
