Brookfield Man Caught With Pills in His Shoes, Pipes in His Car
Suspect tells police he's "a pot head" but denies knowledge of the drugs stashed in his shoes.
A Brookfield man is facing felony charges after he was caught driving through the Town of Brookfield with alcohol and marijuana pipes inside his car and pills hidden inside his shoe.
Dalton Moon, 20, was charged in Waukesha County Circuit Court Friday with one count of possession of narcotic drugs and one count of possession of a controlled substance.
According to the criminal complaint:
At 5:09 a.m. March 10, a Town of Brookfield patrol officer spotted a car driving near Black Forest Drive and Timberline Drive with a light out that was registered to a person with a suspended license. The officer pulled the car over. Moon was driving and there was a male passenger, 19.
The officer immediately noticed the faint smell of marijuana from inside the car and saw a bottle of alcohol and can of Rolling Rock beer on the floor. Both men denied drinking; however, Moon’s description of where they were going didn’t make sense and the passenger had slurred speech.
Moon consented to field sobriety tests and had a blood alcohol level of 0.025. He denied taking prescription medication, but told the officer he was on natural medicine from GNC to treat a herniated disc.
Police searched his car and found multiple marijuana pipes and other paraphernalia inside. Officers arrested Moon under arrest and took him to the Waukesha County Jail where police found an Oxycodone pill and amphetamine pills inside his shoe.
Moon said the pills must have been placed in his shoe while he was at a party because “he is a pot head” but doesn’t take pills.
He will make his initial appearance in court June 4.
