The gorilla got away. Darth Maul did not.
Shortly after halftime at Brookfield Central's Homecoming game Friday night, two males streaked in underwear and masks across the football field in chilly temperatures.
One wearing a gorilla mask was able to run right out of the gate and disappear, unable to be found. The gates closed and authorities were ready for the second following shortly behind, an 18-year-old Central High School senior wearing a mask featuring the likeness of Darth Maul, a character from "Star Wars."
That man was cuffed at the fence and walked down the hill to the Brookfield Police Station, where he was cited for municipal disorderly conduct, police said. He wouldn't divulge the identity of the other streaker.
The incident came just one night after a 15-year-old Waukesha West student streaked naked across the field at West's footgall game against Arrowhead. That streak was during halftime and in front of a pom pon performance that included seven-year-old girls. The 15-year-old was caught, arrested and faces three municipal citations.
Unlike the Waukesha streaking incident which drew some laughter as well as anger from parents of the young pom pons girls, the Brookfield incident went largely unnoticed on social media.
