East Senior Plays Summerfest Today

Country singer-songwriter Nora Collins, an East High senior next fall, will hit the M&I Bank stage when Summerfest opens at noon today.

Going to Summerfest today for Opening Day?

One of the first acts to hit a stage will be Nora Collins, country singer-songwriter and Brookfield East High School senior.

Collins will perform at noon today at the M&I Bank stage.

Can't make it? You have another chance to catch her at noon July 5 at the Potawatomi stage when she performs as part of WAMI's Youth Showcase.

Collins has a new CD out, her second.

And here's a feature story Patch wrote about her in April when she was a nominee in the Rising Star category of the WAMI awards show.

Want to hear more local musicians at Summerfest? The Brookfield Central Jazz Ensemble performs at 2:30 today on the Potawatomi Stage as part of the Bob Kames Foundation.
