The cause of the fire was unknown but did not appear suspicious.
A city plow truck was on fire early Saturday morning inside the Brookfield highway garage, setting off a sprinkler system that alerted firefighters.
The sprinklers and fire crews contained the fire and damage was estimated at $75,000, according to Fire Chief Charlie Myers.
The cause was yet undetermined but not believed to be suspicious.
According to the fire department:
Firefighters got a water flow alarm at 1:37 a.m. Saturday at the highway garage, 19700 Riverview Dr. But the first units saw fire inside the building and found a plow truck on fire inside.
