Meet Shayla Wesoloski, New 8th Grade Pilgrim Park Teacher

Wesoloski is joining Elmbrook after five years at a Mequon-Thiensville middle school and will be teaching science and pre-algebra.

 

About 30 new teachers are joining the Elmbrook School District this year, and Brookfield Patch is introducing some to the community as the 2012-13 school year gets underway.

      Today, we feature Pilgrim Park Middle School teacher Shayla Wesoloski.

        Teaching assignment: 8th grade science and Pre-algebra at Pilgrim Park Middle School

        Hometown, current community: Grew up in Peshtigo and live in Brookfield now

        Education, experience: Earned undergraduate degree at UW-Oshkosh and master's at Cardinal Stritch. Previously taught five years at Lake Shore Middle School in Mequon.

        Why did you choose Elmbrook? The Elmbrook School District has a reputation for promoting high excellence amongst all students and staff. They have strong parent and community support which is a huge component when trying to move forward in making the district an even better place for students to learn and succeed and for staff to work.

        Hobbies: I enjoy playing volleyball and water skiiing.

        Favorite vacation: Cabo San Lucas, Mexico — we got up close and personal with a whale!!
