Key project leaders and city officials were invited for a sneak peek Tuesday night but the store opens Wednesday morning. Do you plan to shop there? Tell us in our poll.
The new Target store in Brookfield will open at 8 a.m. Wednesday, with a grand opening ceremony slated for Sunday, July 29.
On Tuesday night, key project leaders and city officials were invited to an early preview to check out the new store built in the new retail complex Underwood Crossing where Trader Joe's is under construction.
The new Target store includes a grocery with fresh produce, meats and bakery items, as well as a pharmacy, Target Café and Starbucks.
The store still wasn't listed on the map of Target's locations on its website as of 10:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Underwood Crossing, a 170,000-square-foot shopping center on West Bluemound Road at North 128th Street, will also include a PNC Bank and yet-unannounced junior anchor and other commercial tenants.
The complex is being built on the site of the former Quebecor World printing plant, which was razed and the site was environmentally remediated.
