Brookfield Central held Brookfield East scoreless for more than 12 minutes and captured an easy 60-24 victory in girls basketball at East on Friday.
The Lancers (4-5, 2-2 Greater Metro Conference) built a 22-10 lead at the end of the first quarter, then forged a 19-0 second-quarter advantage and cruised to the win.
Sophomore Lydia Rohde scored 17 points and senior Anna Liewen 14 for Brookfield Central. East (2-8, 0-4) was led by Emily Utic with seven points.
