A day after storms threatened the annual event in other communities, the weather cooperated for Brookfield as families had fun and learned about safety.

It doesn't get more family friendly than Brookfield's National Night Out where children can tour the fire department, ride CP Rail cars, dunk someone in water, spray a fire hose and much more. Country music band Crossfire provided live entertainment at the event that ended with a flashlight Community Walk Against Crime.
But the focus was on providing all kinds of safety and crime prevention tips and information, from booths to handouts to demonstrations.
