Romney, Ryan & Walker to Host 'Homecoming Rally' in Waukesha
Thousands expected at rally featuring Mitt Romney, his new running mate, Gov. Scott Walker and the GOP U.S. Senate candidate at the Waukesha County Expo Center.
Republican presidential hopeful Mitt Romney will be joined by his new running mate, U.S. Rep. Paul Ryan, as well as Gov. Scott Walker for a “Homecoming rally” at the Waukesha County Expo Center on Sunday.
The rally, which begins at 6 p.m., is all a part of Romney’s bus tour, “The Romney Plan For A Stronger Middle Class.” Organizers are hoping to get 5,000 people to show up for the event.
Walker announced he’ll also be attending the rally, as well as GOP U.S. Senate candidates Tommy Thompson, Eric Hovde and Jeff Fitzgerald.
In an email sent to Republicans around the county, Keith Best, the public relations chair for the Waukesha County GOP said:
"Come on out and help energize this state for brother Paul Ryan. Ryan will make an excellent vice president as we take back this country...We want a big crowd. History is being made and you are invited to be a part of it."
Waukesha County Executive Dan Vrakas hailed the selection of Ryan — and the decision to hold the rally here.
"The pick of Paul Ryan is important in that it puts Wisconsin in position to vote for a Republican ticket for the first time since 1984. Not only in Wisconsin but all over the country Romney and Ryan as a team will have broad appeal to voters of all ages," he told Patch. Waukesha County is critical to putting Wisconsin in the Republican column and we will work hard to get the job done."

Michael A. Crowley, a Waukesha County Board supervisor and active Republican, said picking the county was a logical choice for Sunday's rally.
"This is exciting for Wisconsin. Being a key state, Paul Ryan as the running mate will secure many other key states for a sure win for the Republican Party," he told Patch. "Waukesha County is the place to kick off the rallies. I'm proud and excited for Paul Ryan and for Wisconsin."
The presidential nominee announced Ryan as his running mate Saturday morning, dubbing themselves "America's Comeback Team." The two are attending a victory rally” at the NASCAR Technical Institute in North Carolina before jetting to Waukesha for the Sunday night rally.
While the event is free and open to the public, tickets will be required for entry. Anyone interested in going needs to register online or show up extra early to the expo center to acquire a ticket.
Doors open at 4 p.m. on Sunday.

Why do you insist on people being indoctrinated via biased propaganda?
Why don't people just read Ryan's Path to Prosperity and his budget bill for themselves, think for themselves, analyze for themselves, and come to their own conclusions about Ryan's plan?

Shirley, you're a Bleeding Heart Liberal with a tentative grip on reality. The daft attack ad by Agenda Project is another example of dishonest partisan rhetoric by left wing activists. The Agenda Project was founded by Soros flunky Erica Payne who is also co-founder of the far left Democracy Alliance where the board of directors is a who's who of Marxists and radical leftists.
If we pursue the democratic plan for Medicare (a.k.a. doing nothing) it goes bankrupt in 2017 and grandma dies in the street for lack of medical care. The money will not appear like manna from heaven if we just keep our heads in the sand long enough.

@shirley -
The top 1% already shoulder 45% of the overall federal income tax burden and 30% of the FICA and FUTA tax burdens. The top 10% shoulder nearly 68% of the federal income tax burden and 57% of the FICA and FUTA tax burdens. That means that the bottom 90% are only paying 32% of all the federal income taxes and 43% of all the FICA and FUTA taxes currently collected.
How much more do you want the wealthy to shoulder? What's fair in shirley's world?

It's very simple-- the Liberals are the haters. They have shown it over-and-over; they're displaying it again today; you will see endless evidence of it between now and November. The haters, the put-down artists, the destroyers and underminers of America's values and prosperity are, the Liberals. Simply read the posts above if you need proof. ... And you've been told all your life that they're the loving, compassionate, tolerant people. Uh, you've been told that by .. Liberals. The big lie, exposed.

What is striking about the Democrats is the number of cultists it now attracts. One of the chief characteristic of a cult is its imperviousness to counterfactual evidence. Those who have joined the cult will simply refuse to believe any evidence that refutes its doctrine. (See L. Festenger, H. W. Riecken & S. Schachter, When Prophecy Fails, Harper Torchbooks, 1966). This behaviour fits Waters, Hinchey, Obama, Pelosi and their media toadies down to a ‘T’.

Ryan wants to take away the Medicare from the Seniors and give us voucher. Senior do not have $6,000 for health care. We are on a fix budget. No one is taking my Medicare away and SS.

My dear Kathy,
You need to step away from the Kool-Aide. Obama hasn't put forth anything. Not one budget in the almost four years he was elected to office. Remember it is the Democrats who, during the last two years of the Bush administration and the first two years of the Obama administration, held the majority in both houses and did absolutely nothing except run this country into the ground. When are you simple-minded people going to realize that this is exactly where Obama wants this country to be so that he can pursue his and Soros' socialist agenda? We I have news for you guys, we the patriots of this country will not ever allow our country to fall to socialism. You have awoken the proverbial giant.

Romney and Ryan. Flip and Flop in so many ways! But united that they both want economic plans that steal from the poor and middle class, pillage Social Security and Medicare, and give tons of money, subsidies and tax breaks to the wealthy and the mega-corporations. And both men want the federal and state governments to seize control over women's personal health choices.
Ryan is a wing-nut political ideologue inspired by Ayn Rand. Check out the love fest between Ryan and Glenn Beck online. It’s crazy talk manifesto time.
Romney needs to release his tax returns. He said he has paid lots of taxes, but he never once said he paid lots of INCOME taxes. Why would that be? Why won’t he do what all others do and release his returns unless he has something extremely damaging to hide?

If you could get some "entitlement" for yourself or someone in your family or a friend you really cared about who needed it, you would take it in a nano-second! Republicans are such hypocrites when it comes to "entitlement." Unfortunately in this "rich get richer, poor get poorer" society we live in, not everyone has the same opportunities to have the $500,000-million dollar homes that surround me in Brookfield. This is a question for liberals, much to easy for republicans, so don't give the answer away. When social security was introduced we had 60 workers paying in for one person on s.c. Twenty years later we had 30 workers paying for one collecting, today we have 3 workers for one. How long will it take to have one to one? Which will not work. Can you say San Bernardino? Love arguing politics with LIBS it's so easy. To my liberal friends enjoy the kool-aid.

Here's one problem with Obama today he stumping around the mid west speaking to farmers and he offers 170 million dollars to them for food for the poor. His reasoning for this was to help ailing farmers deal with the drought. Seems pretty noble the problem is when he's in Washington he raises the death tax to the point where the children can't afford to keep these farms after their parents die. He passed a law stating if you're 15 years old living on a farm your father can't teach you how to operate equipment. He did the same thing to coal miners in 2008 with clean coal technology and then Biden said we need to advance clean coal tech. for the Chinese, but we want no part of coal in this country. Same thing with oil. He said we produced more oil than we ever did during his presidency, this is true, what he doesn't tell you is it only increased on private land actually went down on federal sites. The only truth he ever spoke was when he addressed the muslim people in pakistan 2008 and said he was sorry for our arrogance.

@ Keith the changes are for those under 55 is more republican bull. Some changes will be immediate. Final stages will be completed as the progress further in the complete SHUTDOWN of Medicare. Your voucher will only be a discount card as you try to negotiate with a return of the health care monopolized insurance companies. Nothing changed except more death panels to determine which of you will be first.
Ryan's signature proposal would change the popular Medicare health plan for the elderly into a voucher program that would give future retirees a fixed amount of money to buy traditional Medicare insurance or competing private plans.
Ryan says that approach would rein in spiraling medical costs that threaten the program's solvency in coming decades. The nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office estimated that one version of Ryan's plan, passed by the House last year, would increase retirees' out-of-pocket medical costs by about $6,400 annually.
Many retirees live on less than $14,000 annually. Another tactic of the republicans, “expedite the death of the weak” Reduces the cost, to the death panels.
