Subway Shop Robbed at Gunpoint

Police searching for two suspects who fled the restaurant at Capitol Drive and Brookfield Road Monday morning.

Brookfield police are searching for two armed robbers who at 6:30 a.m. Monday held up the Subway restaurant at Capitol Drive and Brookfield Road.

Police were called to the Subway next to the Open Pantry gas station at 6:32 a.m.

According to police reports:

Two black males came in, showed a weapon and told the uniformed employee to go in the back of the restaurant. The employee laid on the floor and was not physically injured before the two suspects fled out the back with about $700 in cash.

The males were described as being about 5 feet 9 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall, with slim build and wearing all black, including black hoods and bandanas. Both had black handguns.

Brookfield police called neighboring communities for backup and were continuing to search for the suspects.

I guess with all the banks closed today, these two Mensa members picked the next best thing .. a SUB SHOP at about a half-hour after it opened! Brilliant. If we catch and convict this pair, let's make sure they do NOT get into the rehabilitation program aimed at training the next generation of missle launch operators.

2 well educated black guys from Milwaukee Public Schools finding an easy way to make money. Why work if we can steal? If we catch them, let's give them probation. They deserve a second, third, forth, fifth, sixth, seventh, eighth, chance. Do we have a scewed up system or what?
