Three Brookfield Holdups in a Week
The descriptions of the suspects are different in the armed robberies of a Subway restaurant, Marriott Residence Inn and attempted robbery of The Vitamin Shoppe.
An attempted robbery of a Blue Mound Road business is the third Brookfield holdup in a week.
The descriptions of the suspects varied in all three cases.
Brookfield police responded to an attempted armed robbery at The Vitamin Shoppe, 15445 W Blue Mound Road, about 6:30 p.m. Friday.
A man implied that he had a weapon, placing his hand on his back pocket as he demanded the cashier give him all the money in the cash register, according to a police report.
The man, however, fled without any money and got into a newer model silver pickup with a silver cap, the report said.
The man was described as being in his late 30s, 6' 1" and 220 pounds, with short spiky black hair, last seen wearing a black T-shirt with a logo on the back and blue jeans.
The next night, police were called to an armed robbery at the Marriott Residence Inn Milwaukee Brookfield about 11:45 p.m. Police released a composite sketch of the suspect in that holdup, who was described as an Asian male, 5' 5" and about 35 years old, with dark short curly hair. Police said the man was clean shaven and last seen wearing a dark blue windbreaker jacket and dark sunglasses.
And on May 28, a suspect displayed a handgun tucked into his waistband as he robbed a Subway restaurant at 21250 W. Capitol Dr., ordering an employee into a cooler and fleeing with money.
The description of that man was a white male, age 18 to 25, about 5'5" to 5'8" tall, 140 to 160 pounds and clean shaven. He was last seen wearing an olive green hooded sweatshirt, black pants and black "skate boarder" style shoes with large sunglasses.
