Waukesha County Has Recounted Just 2 Percent of Votes

The Waukesha County Board of Canvassers took 1 1/2 days to recount the Town of Brookfield's state Supreme Court votes, leaving 36 communities to go. The net: Prosser gains six votes.

After 1 1/2 days, Waukesha County has completed the recount of its first municipality β€” the town of Brookfield β€” which resulted in a net change adding six votes for Prosser.

The recount in Waukesha County is going slowly, with less than 2 percent of the its total votes recounted. Three dozen more towns, villages and cities are yet to be recounted, with the Town of Delafield the second municipality reviewed.

On Thursday morning, the Waukesha County Board of Canvassers and tabulators finished the Town of Brookfield, recounting the votes cast by residents in the Town of Brookfield's wards 5, 7, 9 and 10. There were no changes from the previously certified town tallies.
