Waukesha County Fair Announces Headline Acts

Fair will be held July 18-July 22.

The Waukesha County Fair Association announced Friday that  My Darkest Days and Craig Morgan will appear as headline acts at the 170th Waukesha County Fair, sponsored by Aurora Health Care, according to a news release.

From the release:

My Darkest Days; 8 p.m. Thursday, July 19

  • VIP Seating - $10
  • Elite VIP Seating - $50

My Darkest Days’ vocalist and rhythm guitarist Matt Walst saw firsthand what it takes to succeed from his older brother, the bassist of Three Days Grace. Chad Kroeger of Nickelback co-produced My Darkest Days’ new album and co-wrote a majority of the songs. The music combines the rowdiness of rock music alongside more personal observations about relationships. “I’m a big fan of Top 40 and dance music as well as hard rock. It’s cool to bring all of those into our songs,” says Walst. Having shared the stage with bands such as Theory of a Deadman, Papa Roach and Three Days Grace, the group has honed their live act and are exciting loyal fans and growing their fan base.

Craig Morgan; 6 p.m. Sunday, July 22

  • VIP Seating - $15
  • Elite VIP Seating - $75

With over 10 years since the release of his self-titled album, Craig Morgan has been a mainstay on the charts with 14 Top Ten hits including “Redneck Yacht Club,” “Almost Home,” and “That’s What I Love About Sundays.” In 2008, Morgan became a member of the Grand Ole Opry, what most consider a pinnacle of the country music profession. In addition to his music career, Morgan is extremely proud of nearly two decades of service to the U.S. military and remains an enthusiastic supporter. He has traveled overseas to dangerous places to perform for our troops. He’s entertained countless fans in every corner of the globe and has shared the stage with Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban, Trace Adkins and consistently sells out headlining dates. In addition to singing, Morgan is also a TV star, with his show “Craig Morgan: All Access Outdoors,” on the Outdoor Channel. It’s a 30 minute reality show that offers fans a look at Morgan’s extreme lifestyle at home as well as a roller coaster ride that is the music business.

General admission to the Miller Lite Main Stage shows is free with a daily admission fair ticket. Fairgoers have the opportunity to purchase VIP and Elite VIP seating tickets to the Main Stage shows. (VIP Seating is a section located right in front of the Main Stage. This section is fenced off and chairs are provided but seats are not assigned. They will be on a first come, first serve basis. Elite VIP Seating includes fair admission, parking, drink tickets and an assigned seat to the show, only 60 available.) Tickets go on sale beginning April 1 on the fair’s website www.WaukeshaCountyFair.com.

The Waukesha County Fair Association is a non-profit volunteer organization that is completely separate and receives no funding from Waukesha County or the City of Waukesha. The 170th  Waukesha County Fair, sponsored by Aurora Health Care, will run Wednesday, July 18, through Sunday, July 22, on the Waukesha Expo Grounds.

Not really bringing it from a musical perspective this year. I'd rather see Nugent again...
