Woman Accused of Yelling at Passersby While Outside Mall
Police say a Waukesha woman makes odd claims while yelling obscure remarks outside of the mall.
A 23-year-old Waukesha woman is accused of yelling at people outside of the food court at Brookfield Square Mall.
Caitlin B. Arent was charged in Waukesha County Circuit Court Wednesday with one count of disorderly conduct. If convicted, she faces up to 90 days in jail and $1,000 in fines.
According to the criminal complaint:
At 2:37 p.m. Oct. 27, a Brookfield police officer was driving through the parking lot of the mall when he heard and saw Arent sitting on a bench outside of the food court yelling at people. The officer turned around and went by Arent to see what the issue was.
Arent yelled at people to get a lighter and made obscure comments. She then told the officer she was robbed the night before, and is a Milwaukee police officer and Marine who has lung cancer.
At that point a woman walked up and told the officer Arent had called her a hooker and a slut earlier while walking by with her young daughter.
She will make her initial appearance in court Jan. 21.
