Mitt Romney Wins St. John Vianney Mock Presidential Election

While the nation re-elected President Barack Obama to a second term in office on Nov. 6th, the mock presidential elections at St. John Vianney turned out differently.
After researching candidates and preparing speeches, four students, who were chosen by Social Studies teacher and election coordinator Sue Schmitt, delivered those speeches to SJV fourth through eighth graders on Tuesday, Nov. 6th. After hearing the speeches, the students voted electronically.
Barack Obama was represented by Sarah Clarke while Joe Biden was presented by Lexie Ries. For the conservatives, Maureen Parks stood-in for Mitt Romney and Max Casey represented Paul Ryan.
Election results at SJV would’ve sent Mitt Romney to the White House and Barack Obama onto his next endeavor with 84% voting for Romney/Ryan and 16% voting for Obama/Biden.
