Students at St. John Vianney Give Warmly for Coats for Kids Campaign

By K. Adamson

Along with FOX6 News and the Salvation Army, St. John Vianney Catholic School (SJV) participated in the Condella's Coats for Kids campaign, a program that collects winter coats and snow pants and distributes them to children in-need in Wisconsin. For 30 years, the program has provided warmth and good will to Wisconsin children who otherwise might not have proper winter protection.

St. John Vianney Catholic School has been a part of the program for nearly two decades. With students collecting 100 to 200 coats every year, the school has contributed thousands of winter items over the years.

The Coats for Kids campaign underscores the school’s commitment to Works of Mercy — helping those in need. This year, SJV students contributed 107 snow pants and coats to the program, according to the third graders, who coordinate the coat drive for the school every year. It’s only one of several drives the students conduct aimed at helping others.
