Helping the BloodCenter of WI save Lives
Donations being put to good work. The BloodCenter of WI received a check for $5,000 this week from the organization Lindsay’s Voice / Trees of Hope WI to help add more people to the National Marrow Donor Registry (Be The Match)
Patients fighting blood cancers: Leukemia, Lymphoma, Myeloma and other diseases such as sickle cell anemia, etc. are in need of getting a bone marrow transplant. Finding the perfect match can be very difficult. Having more people of all ethnic backgrounds on the registry raises the chances the patients have of finding a match.
Wed July 24th will be Christmas in July- Giving the Gift of Life Blood Drive & Marrow Donor Registry Drive at Hart Park in Wauwatosa (73rd & State St) You have the power to save a life. There is a Great need for blood donations right now. Register: www.bcw.edu/TreesofHOPE Also, volunteers will be there to help register people for the Marrow Donor Registry.
