Easter Activities In and Around Brookfield

Whenever it stops snowing, there's an annual rite of spring awaiting everyone as Easter is just around the corner — this year, it's March 31. Here's a list of Easter events in and near Brookfield that will help put you in the mood for spring, even as the snow keeps falling.

Saturday, March 23: City of Brookfield Easter Celebration, 10 a.m. to 11:15 a.m., Mitchell Park

This event is sponsored by the Brookfield Junior Woman's Club and the Department of Parks, Recreation & Forestry and is open to all kids up to the age of 8. Bring your camera and capture some great photos with the kids and the Easter Bunny. There will be a variety of activities for all to enjoy.

Wednesday, March 27: Kids & Family Easter Puppet Play, Dayspring Baptist Church's Excellence Center, N4 W22000 Bluemound Road, Waukesha, 7 p.m. Tickets are free, but registration is required.

Saturday, March 30: Town of Brookfield Easter Egg Hunt, 10 a.m. All children 8 years old and under are invited to participate in the Easter Egg Hunt. Children will be grouped by ages. A free Easter Egg "Crawl" for the tiny egg-hunters will be at Marx Park, 700 S. Barker Road.

Sunday, March 31: Brookfield Suites Hotel Brunch with the Bunny, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Prices are $24.95 for adults, $9.95 for children ages 5-12, free for children 4 and under. Call (262) 782-2900 to reserve.
