Children's Workshop to Give Tips on Annie Auditions

Elm Grove, WI—Aug. 26.  Sunset Playhouse will offer a workshop designed to prepare children 8 to 13 years old for auditioning for the musical ANNIE.  The two-hour  training session will be held Saturday, Sept. 17, at 9 a.m. and repeated Wednesday, Sept. 21, at 4:30 p.m. The workshop fee is $10.

The famous Broadway story of the spirited orphan who is determined to find her parents premieres at The Playhouse Dec. 1-Dec. 31.  Auditions begin Oct. 1.

The pre-audition workshop will provide basic audition tips and also cover a wide variety of topics including cold readings, choreography, choosing and singing a song, and improvisation/theatre games. Parents will have the opportunity to learn about the Sunset Playhouse audition, rehearsal and performance process during the first half hour of the workshop.

 Sunset Playhouse holds a variety of performing arts classes for children 2 to 15 years old at its theatre facility in Elm Grove.  All of its classes and camps are taught by trained educators with theatre experience. The Playhouse is now in its 52nd year of providing quality entertainment  including comedies, musicals and dramas.
