Megadeth's Dave Mustaine Coming to Brookfield Friday

Thrash-metal fans can meet their icon, who has led the band Megadeth since its founding 30 years ago.

Thrash-metal icon Dave Mustaine — front man of Megadeth for 30 years — visits Brookfield Guitar Center on Friday.

The event is at 5 p.m. and free to the public, but with limited capacity.

Mustaine is on any Mount Rushmore of thrash metal you want to create. He started in Metallica, then guided his own band through 19 albums. Despite fronting such titles as “The System Has Failed,” “Capitol Punishment” and “Countdown to Extinction,” Mustaine is a devout Christian who practices yoga and likes to “focus on my health” while on tour.
