Online Costume Company Hiring for the Season

Halloween and Christmas are not too far away, so the New Berlin-based online costume and party supply store BuySeasons Inc. hopes to fill up to 1,000 seasonal jobs by holding two job fairs this week. The first will be held on Tuesday at the Zoofari Conference Center,  9715 W. Bluemound Road. The second will be held Thursday at Goodwill Workforce Connection Center, 1400 Nike Drive in Waukesha. Both job fairs will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Read more on Brookfield Patch.

Jumping for Joy in Pewaukee

We've always said you can never have too many indoor trampoline parks, and now Waukesha County will get its second one. Sky Zone Milwaukee, an indoor trampoline park will open this fall in City of Pewaukee. The park will feature an open jump, a foam pit, fitness classes, ultimate dodgeball and volleyball, and three SkySlam basketball courts. Meijer Gets the 'Unwelcome' Mat in Waukesha

Waukesha residents who live near the site of a proposed Meijer store are letting city officials know loud and clear that do not want the big food, clothing and home goods store in their neighborhood. Meijer is planning to locate in a vacant parcel of land on East Sunset Drive, with an opening set for 2015. But neighbors are doing what they can to fight the proposal. “Ours is a residential neighborhood,” one resident said. "We do not need another big box store.” Read more on Waukesha Patch.

Manufacturing Making a Comeback in 'Stallis?

A Milwaukee developer is planning a $13 million industrial project on the former Yellow Freight site in West Allis and has one manufacturer lined up to lease a portion of it, the Business Journal reports. Wangard Partners Inc. wants to buy the 9-acre property from the city of West Allis for the development, which would have two buildings with a combined 167,000 to 180,000 square feet. Is Von Maur Development Stalling?

So, what's going on with plans for the Wisconsin's first Von Maur store, which is supposed to be the cornerstone of The Corners development in the Town of Brookfield? The town administrator is voicing some concerns about the highly touted project, which is supposed to break ground this fall. Read more on Brookfield Patch.

North Shore Botique Closing Its Doors

After more than seven years in business, the Patricia Shoppe of Whitefish Bay is closing its doors at 403 E. Silver Spring Drive. Owner Britton Domer says she is closing the store because she will soon be having her second child. The original Patricia Shoppe store in Door County will remain in business.
