Hunt for Hostess: Twinkies, CupCakes Pop Up at Brookfield Stores
Target employees say the sweet treats are stocked in the store, but going fast.
Hostess treats are back on the shelves after the company shut its doors last fall, and employees at the Target store in Brookfield say the treats are selling fast.
Twinkies, Donettes and creme-filled CupCakes began appearing over the weekend, a bit earlier than the announced re-introduction date on Monday.
The return of the treats comes with a minor tweak — Twinkies now pack 135 calories and weigh 1.4 ounces versus 150 calories and 1.5 ounces per cake when the factories shut down last fall, according to USAToday.com.
Hostess products can be found in a variety of stores in Brookfield. Patch called local grocers to find out who was carrying them, here's what we found out:
