Mark Chmura Being Sued for $717K by Brookfield Bank

Securant Bank & Trust takes legal action against former Green Bay Packers tight end in Waukesha County Circuit Court.

Former Green Bay Packers tight end Mark Chmura is being sued for more than $700,000 after his business venture ran into trouble, according to a civil suit filed in Waukesha County Circuit Court.

The lawsuit was filed this month by Securant Bank & Trust in Brookfield against Chmura’s company, BC Property Investments.

The suit alleges that BC Property is in default on a business loan by $717,096. The bank is seeking the full payment, plus accruing interest from Sept. 26 until the final amount is paid.

Chmura, of the Town of Genesee, filed for bankruptcy for his BC Pabst Holdings company in early 2012, along with fellow developers Sonny Bando and Matt Chmura, according to The Business Journal.

While Chmura is owed $150,000 by BC Pabst Holdings, the company also owes $4.5 million to CRE Ventures, according to a bankruptcy posting.

Chmura does not have a listed phone number and an attorney is not yet shown in court documents.

Chmura played for the Packers from 1993 to 1999. In 2000, he was charged with sexually assaulting a 17-year-old girl, but was found not guilty.

Meanwhile, Chmura is among former football players who are suing the NFL in federal court over concussions.

"he was charged with sexually assaulting a 17-year-old girl, but was found not guilty" don't understand the relevance of that to the story? Unless it fits your agenda.

Walker, you hit it out of the park. No relevance.

Actually, that's what I remember Chmura for best. The incident ended his sports career and required him to earn his living by other means. Who remembers a football player from decades ago?

Actually that did not end his career. Obviously you don't remember. What ended his career was a neck injury during a game that then revealed a congenital defect to his neck. Lets get the facts straight.

Yea, It was a neck injury that sidelined him, and the stupidity with the 17 year old made him really famous. Im no fotball player but if I was in the hot tub with the babysitter my wife would kill me. Chewie, Where your wife at?
