Roots Salon's Cuts4ACause Giving Free Haircuts For Donation

The salon will be will be giving free haircuts all day with a donation of $20 the Children's Hospital and Penfield's Children's Center.

Roots Salon in Brookfield is hosting its 6th annual Cuts4ACause in April, in which hairstylists will be giving free haircuts all day with a donation.

“Our cause is to promote community awareness of disease and treat that result in hair loss and to provide a community opportunity for anyone to participate,” wrote organizers in a release.

There are three ways to participate:

  • You can come in for a haircut and make a $20 donation. 
  • If you have six inches or more of unbleached hair and are interested in donating you will receive a complimentary 1-hour cuts and style transformation.
  • You can sponsor the event, Root’s entire team, or a single team member’s station by becoming an event, corporate or private sponsor.  Sponsorships range $1,000 to $50.  See the attached form or contact the salon for more information (414) 235-9415.

In the past, Roots has raised $27,000 for the Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin and Penfield’s Children’s Center. Also, $3,000 in tips donated by Roots service providers have been able to purchase brand new toys, crafts, socks, washcloths and other items.

Roots has collected over 3,271 inches of hair for Locks of Love and Wigs for Kids.

According to the release, “Collecting usable for these organizations helps them create a vacuum fitted hairpieces to financially disadvantaged individuals suffering from long-term medical hair loss form any diagnosis.”
