(Updated 2:45 p.m.) A popular hotspot in Wauwatosa, Yo Mama! frozen yogurt plans to expand to Brookfield, aiming to open in April in the Ruby Isle Shopping Center.

Owners Scott and Becky Berger, who live in Brookfield with their four children, have found a healthy local appetite for their self-serve frozen yogurt and toppings business.

The Bergers opened in the Tosa Village last June, creating a buzz and long summer lines. It remains a popular place for kids of all ages.

The city Plan Commission will review March 12 whether to amend city codes to allow permanent structures such as a fire pit and foundation in building setback areas, Theis said.
