A Season of Service for Swanson Scouts

Fall service projects help Scouts help others.

It has been a busy autumn for the Scouts of Pack 23 at Swanson Elementary!

The Scouts began the year by beautifying our school, with an all-pack clean-up of the grounds and the planting of two trees, generously donated by Johnson’s Nursery and Trees for Less, by Bear Den 5.

The pack then ventured out into the community to participate in a fall clean-up day coordinated through the Southwest office of Interfaith, an organization dedicated to providing services that enhance the welfare of older adults. 25 Scouts and their families spent the day mowing, raking and doing other yard work for a local senior citizen.

We are proud to see our Scouts fulfilling their promise to help other people and give goodwill — they truly ‘help the pack go’!
