Date Night: Dinner and a Movie

Being a mother is a demanding, yet rewarding job, but even we need to take some personal time off now and again.

We help remind you to take that much needed and deserved “me time” in Patch’s weekly feature, ‘The Great Escape.” Each week we’ll tell you about one great place you can escape to with your spouse, your girlfriends or by yourself.

This week is all about date night with a minor twist on the classic dinner and a movie as we escape to .

The Majestic is located at 770 Springdale Road in Brookfield. Not only do they play the latest movies to hit the silver screen, but they play them in style. The action is hard to miss when presented on huge Ultrascreens and supported by surround sound.

In addition to Hollywood blockbusters, they also host simulcast sporting events, concerts and more. And they have a great feature for date night: dining while watching.

No longer do you need to worry about how long dinner will take and if you'll get to the movie on time. Go to the Majestic and relax as you eat dinner in the theater while watching the movie.

If you aren't hungry during show time, you can always grab a bite to eat on site before or after as well.  In addition to the CineDine menu, there's a pizza place, a cocktail lounge and, of course, concessions. Dessert is even available at the Chocolate Shoppe Ice Cream Shop.

Now there's no excuse to pass up your mother-in-law's offer to watch the kids for a couple hours!
