Being a mother is a demanding, yet rewarding job, but even we need to take some personal time off now and again.

We help remind you to take that much needed and deserved “me time” in Patch’s weekly feature, ‘The Great Escape.” Each week we’ll tell you about one great place you can escape to with your spouse, your girlfriends or by yourself.

This week we’re going to check out The Melting Pot.

is located at 19850 West Bluemound Road in Brookfield and offers a unique dining experience of fondue. Melted cheeses and chocolates, as well as salads and delicious entrees will give you reason to take your time to enjoy dinner.

There's something romantic about sharing fondue with that special someone. Is it dipping food into melted goodness? Maybe you'll feed each other a few bites. The Melting Pot offers a seating that fits an intimate dinner for two or a group of friends enjoying conversation over cheesy goodness.

The website has a list of special occasions that are perfect to celebrate, from date night to ladies night out to anniversaries. With Mother's Day coming up in a few short weeks, it's another reason to escape for a nontraditional dinner out. The Big Night Out features a four-course meal based upon a regional and seasonal theme that changes every six months.

Cheese fondue is not as simple as it may sound. There are five different cheese fondues to choose. For dessert there are nine different chocolate fondues to choose. Or, if you are feeling adventurous and creative, you can concoct your own mixture! The nibblers provided are scrumptious enough on their own, but are perfect for dipping.
