Off to the Theatre

This week's "Great Escape" for moms: lose yourself in the theater — the Waukesha Civic Theatre.

You’ve heard the saying “a happy mother means a happy family,” right? Well, it’s true. You fulfill multiple roles day in and day out, and that’s just within the home! In order to be a happy mother, you need time for you, even if it’s for a few minutes a day.

We help remind you to take that much needed and deserved “me time” in Patch’s weekly feature, "The Great Escape." Each week we tell you about one great place you can escape to with your spouse, your girlfriends or by yourself.

This week.... dinner and a movie, the classic date night. Why not put a twist on it and go to the local theatre instead? Imagination and creativity are great outlets for escapes from everyday life. Escape to Waukesha's Civic Theatre.

If you're interested in honing your performance art skills, you could attend one of their workshops, audition for a role in one of their plays or help out behind the scenes. This might not fall under your idea of a date night, but it'd be a great thing to do with a friend or on your own too. Or, a great family activity option to keep in mind.
