Elmbrook School administrative transition: The School Board will hold a work session to discuss administrative transitions and prioritize continuous improvement initiatives with consultant Jack Linehan, at 5 p.m. Tuesday at the district administrative offices, 13780 Hope St. Agenda

Elmbrook Personnel Committee: will discuss issues including early release Thursdays, a DAT transition retirement benefit, teacher exit interview data and a 2013 health plan recommendation. Meeting starts at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at central offices, 13780 Hope St. Agenda

Bubble-ology: Become a "bubble-ologist" as Karl Debelack teaches everyone the soapy science of "bubble-ology" and how to create huge bubbles. Two 45-minute sessions: 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the library, 1900 N. Calhoun Rd.

Civic Plaza concert: Heat Duo will play a variety of music including contemporary pop music at the city's weekly summer noon-hour concert Wednesday in Civic Plaza between City Hall and the Public Safety Building, 2100 N. Calhoun Rd.

Wine class/tasting: , 13660 W. Capitol Dr., is holding a wine tasting of Washington State's Saviah Cellars, Oregon's Naked winery, and Australia's Lambert Estates from 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday.

Thursday

Folk music by Fox and Branch: A 45-minute, toe-tapping show by Fox and Branch will be given at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the library, 1900 N. Calhoun Rd.

Reads to Reel Film Club: For movie lovers, a discussion group meets at 7 p.m. on the fourth Thursday of the month in the Harnischfeger Room at the library, 1900 N. Calhoun Rd. The film selections

A Patchwork Antiques Appraisal Fair:Β Registration is required for this appraisal event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday with certified appraiser Barbara J. Eash. Participants are allowed only ONE item appraisal during first consultation. Additional consultations may be available if time permits. NO stamps, coins, art or weapons. Flyer

Puppet Theater: Sponsored by the Friends of the Library, a puppet show will be presented at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the library, 1900 N. Calhoun Rd.

Saturday

Brookfield Farmers Market: Every Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to noon, the is held in the parking lots and Civic Plaza next to , 2000 N. Calhoun Rd.

Taste of Italy: , 13200 W. Greenfield Ave., holds a heritage meal at 5:30 p.m. Saturday. There is no charge, just a "freewill offering" to support the church's Scholarship Fund to enable youth to attend Summer Bible Camp.
