Close an elementary school or schools? After getting feedback at two community informational meetings, the Elmbrook School Board meeting plans to try to come to a resolution at its meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday, specially held in the cafeteria, 16900 W. Gebhardt Rd. After discussion Tuesday, the board might take a final vote at its Oct. 25 meeting.

Disposing of Calhoun Road properties: The city Public Works Committee will discuss what it should do with two Calhoun Road homes it purchased last year to over the road widening project's closure of two residential driveways. The committee also may recommend approval of adding a year to its contract with Veolia Environmental Services, Inc. Meeting starts at 7 p.m. Tuesday at , 2000 N. Calhoun Rd.

City 2012 budget: The Finance Committee may finish its review of the mayor's proposed 2012 budget and recommend any changes before sending it to the Common Council. Meeting starts at 5 p.m. Wednesday at City Hall.

Cross-town swim rivalry: Brookfield Central girls swimmers will host cross-town rival Brookfield East at 6 p.m. Thursday.

Football: Brookfield Central varsity football hosts Menomonee Falls at 7 p.m. Friday. Brookfield East travels to Hamilton for its 7 p.m. Friday GMC matchup.

Cross-country: will host the GMC cross-country championship at 11 a.m. Saturday.

Volleyball: Brookfield East will host the girls GMC volleyball championships starting at 9 a.m. Saturday.

"Yes, Your Teen is Crazy": The Parent Network is presenting a , Ed.D., award-winning author of "Yes, Your Teen Is Crazy!" and other books for teens and parents. It starts at 7 p.m. at .

The Dukes of Dixieland: The Wednesday afternoon concert at the , 19805 W. Capitol Dr., features pop, gospel, and country music with authentic New Orleans sounds. take the stage at 1 p.m. Wednesday. Tickets are $15.

Ladies Night at Soerens Ford: This month, instead of teaching women about cars, will focus on women's health, offering a wide variety of activities meant to pamper and educate. Free massages and manicures and swag bags will be available, along with 20 health and wellness vendors. The free event starts at 7 p.m. Thursday at , 18900 W. Capitol Dr.

Prelude to a Kiss: The Sunset Playhouse kicks off Prelude to a Kiss on Thursday and it runs through Oct. 30. Ticket information on the romantic comedy is available on the Elm Grove theater's website.

Brookfield Farmers Market: The  is held from 7:30 a.m. to noon every Saturday through October, attracting about 4,000 people weekly. It's held in the Civic Plaza next to City Hall, 2000 N. Calhoun Rd.

Bark-Toberfest: The , 20950 Enterprise Ave., will hold at 11 a.m. Saturday, featuring games, activities, pumpkin decorating, prizes, raffles, food, costume contest and more. All dogs wearing their Halloween costume will receive a free prize.
