Week In Review: Festive Parties And Somber Gatherings

The week included celebrations of classic gaming and autism awareness, and ended with solemn memorial services for Lindsay Huenink.

The week started with two festive events — one by gaming enthusiasts and another by autism advocates. It ended with a somber service to celebrate the life of a Brookfield Central High School senior killed in a train crash.

Wednesday: An early-morning call to police by a train operator turned into a tragic day for people who knew Brookfield Central High School senior Lindsay Huenink. , and more than 200 friends, family, teachers and coaches held an evening vigil at the school.
