Join the Elm Grove Library for its second annual outdoor meeting!

It’s time for the Elm Grove Public Library’s second annual outdoor movie! Hit a home run with your family by bringing everyone to the library for “Angels in the Outfield,” a 1994 baseball film starring Danny Glover. The movie will be shown at 8 p.m. on Friday, August 16. It is free and open to the public.

“Angels in the Outfield” is a remake of a 1951 movie by the same name. It’s about a foster child, Roger, who prays for the Los Angeles Angels baseball team to win the national championship, believing it will help reunite him with his father. After his prayer, a group of angels comes down to help the baseball team break its losing streak.

Seating is on the pavement in front of the fire station, so you’ll need to bring your own chairs and blankets to sit on. The movie will be shown rain or shine, but in case it rains, we will move inside the fire station.
