More than 1,400 volunteers will be donning hairnets and a caring heart to stand
side by side during a meal packing blitz September 18 – September 21. The volunteers will pack more than 296,000 nutritionally rich meals consisting of rice, soy, vitamins and dehydrated
vegetables at Brookfield Lutheran Church.
That’s enough to fill an entire transport container of food for children in Nicaragua.
Each
volunteer commits to a two-hour shift helping scoop ingredients, weigh
packages, seal bags and box the rice-based meals.
Feed My Starving Children distributes meals in over
55 countries around the world. The
Brookfield Lutheran container is scheduled to be distributed by ORPHANetwork in
Nicaragua.
