Christmas in July-Give Gift of Life Blood Drive-Marrow Donor Registry

Lindsay’s Voice, has scheduled a “donorship” drive with Blood Center of Wisconsin for : Wednesday, July 24, 2013 from 1:00pm – 6:00pm at Hart Park in Wauwatosa (73rd & State St). In the parking lot near the track and field. The Blood Center... will have its Mobile Collection Motor coach there. All blood types are needed and if you are O Negative your donation is even more important.
Summer is heating up and the temperatures, in addition to summer vacations is keeping donors away from the donor centers. That means there is even a Greater Need for your life-saving gift.

It is important that we maintain an ample blood supply in our community, and that can only be done with Blood Center of Wisconsin, as they supply 100% of the blood to every community hospital in our area!

The blood you donate will save lives right here in your community, specifically patients suffering from traumas and various forms of blood related cancer. Patients are counting on receiving this blood to help them survive or heal.

You will also have the opportunity to register with the National Marrow Donor Program’s Be The Match Registry. Volunteers will be at the drive to explain the simple process. We need people -especially ages 18-44 and all Ethnic backgrounds to join the Marrow Donor Registry... just 10 minutes and a cheek swab is all it takes. You could be the ONE to save a life
