The Road to Freedom

The Waukesha County Museum presents this program on the Underground Railroad, a means by which slaves in the south could escape to the north and to freedom. Learn about Caroline Quarles and Joshua Glover, runaway slaves who travelled through Waukesha County via the Underground Railroad. Glean an understanding of the risks both abolitionists and slaves were taking as conductors and passengers on the Underground Railroad. this program is approximately an hour long and provides an engaging, lasting experience.
