Kronos Quartet

Proclaimed “classical music's Fab Four” by Rolling Stone magazine; “the original rock band of string quartets” by The Washington Post; and an “all-terrain vehicle in contemporary culture” by The New Yorker, the Kronos Quartet is one of the most celebrated and influential ensembles of our time. Performing thousands of concerts worldwide, releasing more than 45 recordings of extraordinary creativity, and commissioning more than
750 new works and arrangements for string quartet, they have “boisterously [broken] down nearly every conceivable genre barrier that ever existed for the string quartet” (Musical America).

Now celebrating their 40th anniversary season, violinists David Harrington and Wisconsin-native John Sherba,
violist Hank Dutt, and cellist Sunny Jungin Yang continue to pursue a singular artistic vision, combining a spirit of fearless exploration with a commitment to expanding the range and context of the string quartet. Don’t miss the ground-breaking artistry of this extraordinary ensemble!
