The Amish Experience

Tour the Kingston Amish community with author and tour guide Richard Lee Dawley! As our classroom on wheels travels to Green Lake County, Wisconsin, take advantage of Richard’s expertise and learn about Amish history, culture, and various business ventures. The Amish are famous for their craftsman-ship and quality. Experience this first-hand when we take a step back in time and tour an Amish furniture shop, a bent hickory rocking chair business, and an Amish-run produce store. In the afternoon, we will join an Amish family for a home-cooked lunch, followed by shopping ventures in the community. We will stop at an Amish bakery and a food store, where the items are home-grown, hand-made, and sold in bulk. Finally, we’ll stop at an Amish wood craft shop, and tour an Amish cheese factory. Don’t worry; there will be plenty of room on your luxury coach bus to bring all of your souvenirs back home!
