Vision Therapy Center Hosts Student Organizational Workshop

The Vision Therapy Center Hosting an Organization Workshop for Students

As a student’s vision improves through vision therapy, they also need to improve other skills, particularly organization and visualization.  It’s why The Vision Therapy Center will offer our first ever “Organizational Skills Workshop for Students.”

Everyone can use some help with organizational skills, but students who are completing vision therapy often need additional help.  They’ve put so much energy into “seeing” that they simply haven’t developed good organizational skills.

Even though they can see better, they still don’t know how to organize homework and be successful in school. The Organizational Skills Workshop for Students will help students develop routines and learn organizational skills that are essential for achieving personal and academic goals.

  • How to manage family responsibilities, rigorous academic standards, extra-curricular activities, and social activities.
  • How to prioritize tasks, activities, and events by using calendars, assignment notebooks, and PDA’s.
  • How to organize their personal belongings and school materials to save time and prevent lost school assignments.

Taking responsibility for managing their time and possessions is a process that will benefit students personally, academically, and in their future careers.  For students who are in vision therapy or have completed it already, it’s a critical skill to learn.
