What Does it Take to Overcome a Reading Difficulty?

For my daughter, it took a mom, a dad, four grandparents, a first grade teacher and a team of vision therapists.

In the first grade, my daughter encountered learning problems. Thanks to my wife’s research, she soon discovered that the problem was not dyslexia, as we had originally feared, but vision problems. 

The diagnosis was just the beginning of the healing process, however. Just as it is said it takes a whole village to raise a child, there are also a number of people who need to be involved to overcome a vision problem.
