Turn Your Trash Into Cash For Schools!

Help our schools simply by clipping symbols, saving labels and caps from products you already purchase!

Do you throw away packages with Box Tops symbols on them? Do you skip taking off the label from your Campbell's soup product before you recycle it? Do you toss your Kemp's milk caps?

If you do, STOP! If you're willing to save them, and either drop them off or mail them to your local school, you can help our local schools raise money or redeem points for products to be used in the schools.

Our kids attend Brookfield Christian School — it's a fairly small school, but we still have raised over $10,000 over the years with Box Tops for Education. We could do better, too — but it's tough to get people to save the box tops! Each box top is worth 10 cents. Our family keeps a bag pinned to the bulletin board in the kitchen, and we put in box tops, milk caps and labels in whenever we toss a package. The school collects them on an ongoing basis in collection boxes mounted right outside the school office. Box Tops DO have an expiration date, so you can't save them forever.

BCS has a parent coordinator who sends the prepared symbols in, and volunteers who trim and sort as required. If you're willing to rip the box top symbols off packages, stuff them in a baggie or envelope, and get them to our school (or any one you choose to support), you're making a difference!

Campbell's Labels for Education labels and symbols have been turned into recess and gym equipment, learning tools for the classroom, and even office equipment in the office! Each label or symbol has a points value, and the points can be redeemed by the school coordinator. We have a devoted volunteer who has been coming to the school for years and picking up our collected labels, and trimming them to be submitted by our parent coordinator.

Kemps contribute 5 cents for every cap or symbol from participating products redeemed. We've just gotten started with this program at BCS, and it's slow going so far. Do you purchase those products? Does your workplace? Would you be willing to help us or another school collect them?

Our school support page has a brief summary of each of the above-mentioned programs, as well as a link to the program's page, so you can find out which products will have the symbols, and see pictures of what you're looking for.

Below are the schools I found via a quick web search that participate in at least one of these programs — feel free to add in the comments if your school/organization takes part in these programs.
