St. John Vianney Catholic School (SJV) congratulates the 8th grade students who represented SJV in the Marquette Math Meet held at Marquette High School on Sunday Oct. 14, 2012. There were roughly 200 students that attended the contest this year.

The 8th grade students who represented SJV were Sarah Clarke, Nicholas Dittrich, Kristina Kulpins, Brooke McArdle, Lexie Ries, Tricia Siy and Alex Uy. Each student did a super job and is commended for their awesome effort and talent.

Nicholas Dittrich placed 4th in the mathematics/algebra contest and received a medal for his outstanding academic accomplishment. Alex Uy placed 6th and Kristina Kulpins placed 7th. Each of these students received a ribbon for their excellent academic accomplishment.

"I am very proud of all the students that attended the meet for their innate knowledge in math," said SJV 8th grade math teacher Mrs. Sharon Kaminski. "Thank you for a job well done."
