Elected Official Breakfast Results in Exchange of Ideas

Legislative Breakfast Encourages Dialogue

Elmbrook School District hosted a Elected Officials Breakfast on December 18th at Dixon Elementary to inform area elected officials about key issues in the District, listen to their perspectives, and engage in an exchange of ideas.

Elected officials in attendance included Leah Vukmir, 5th State Senate District; Dale Kooyenga, 14th Assembly District; Rob Hutton, 13th Assembly District; Diana Robertson, Senator Rob Johnson’s office; Steve Ponto, City of Brookfield May; Neil Palmer, Village of Elm Grove president.  Topics of discussion included modifying the sustaining the school tax levy credit, aligning revenue limits to the labor cost index, updating/adjusting Chapter 220 and Open Enrollment funding formulas and more.

We’re thankful to have such engaged elected officials in our District who understand the value the school district brings to the community and work hard to represent its best interests.   We appreciate the principals, school board members and parent leaders that participated in the discussion.  It is clear that everyone involved in the meeting has the interests of students in mind!
