Parent Groups Essential to Vibrant Learning Community

Parent groups create a sense of community and raise funds to support school-specific needs.

We’ve all heard the proverb “It takes a village to raise a child.”  In Elmbrook, the Parent Teacher Organizations (PTOs) are an instrumental part of the “village” that supports our school system and children.

Every week there are examples of the commitment and passion our parent volunteers bring to the individual schools and District. Last week, Wisconsin Hills students put on the musical “Bye, Bye, Birdie” thanks to the support of the school’s PTO.  In addition, the Parent Network and Leadership Council sponsored an Olympic team doctor to deliver a community presentation on nutrition.

The PTOs spearhead a great blend of social functions and activities that bring families and school staff together and raise funds in support of educational and academic initiatives.   Their efforts generate both much appreciated funds for school-specific needs and create a sense of community.

Other area districts envy the breadth and depth of parent involvement at Elmbrook.  We recognize we are blessed by having such tireless support from our parent groups.  Thank you for being part of the “village” that provides a strong educational foundation for our kids!
