5 Charged in Brookfield Home Burglaries from 2011

The men also are charged with two burglaries in Menomonee Falls, and are suspected in at least one Milwaukee burglary.

Five men have been charged in connection with six 2011 home invasions in Brookfield and Menomonee Falls, crimes in which guns, televisions and other electronics were stolen.

Twelve felony charges were filed in Waukesha County Circuit Court; most were for burglary to building or dwelling as party to a crime. Not every defendant took part in every crime.

  • Steven Brooks, 23, address listed as Racine Correction Institute, Sturtevant
  • Chad Davis, 23, of Madison
  • Alvin Henard, 22, of Milwaukee
  • Branden Lawrence, 24, of Milwaukee
  • Rorey Perry, 22, address listed as Thompson Correctional Center, Deerfield

According to a complaint, the men invaded homes between May 16 and June 6, 2011. In Brookfield, the crimes included:

  • May 16, 3000 block of Burlawn Parkway: Entered an unlocked residence and stole a 46-inch TV, a cell phone, a Nintendo Wii console, and two video games.
  • May 17, 12000 block of Pinewood Road: Kicked in a door and stole a 50-inch TV.
  • May 19, 16000 block of Elderlawn Parkway: Kicked in a door, realized that residents were home, and fled without stealing.
  • May 23, 15000 block of Santa Maria Drive.: Kicked in a door and stole a 22-inch and 52-inch TV. Lawrence told police he got $100 for selling the stolen property.

In Menomonee Falls, the crimes included:

  • June 3, in the N6000 block of Marach Road: Brooks and Davis broke in and stole 12 firearms.
  • June 6, N6000 block of Wigwam Drive: 36- or 38-inch TV and laptop computer.

The June 6 burglary took place between 12:55 and 1:55 p.m., according to the complaint. At 2:27 p.m., Milwaukee Police responded to a burglary in progress in the 8700 block of West Marion Street in Milwaukee. A witness pointed police to a blue van, which police stopped. Officers found four of the five defendants inside, along with material matching the description of items taken from Menomonee Falls.
